HIKING AND MOUNTAIN BIKING

The Wilder Kaiser region has always been one of Tyrol's most impressive wonders of nature and was placed under protection because of its special flora and fauna. This means there is much to discover and marvel at while you are hiking.

The various mountain biking and hiking trails, also including thematic tours, provide ascents to suit all abilities.

To reach the main access points, simply take the Kaiserjet, our free shuttle bus, which stops 50 m from the Sternhof.

MOUNTAIN AND WATER

The "Ellmauer Kaiserbad" will cool you down and put you in a good mood.

In the neighbouring village of Going, you can splash about in one of Tyrol's most beautiful bathing lakes.

The Hintersteinersee in Scheffau captivates visitors with the glimmer of its emerald green to deep turquoise water and the quality of its drinking water.

CLIMBING FROM I TO XI

Climbing also has a long tradition in the Wilder Kaiser region, and countless opportunities are available to scale its heights. The Schleier Waterfall is one of the most exciting climbs, and is even worth a visit just to see it.

Top climbers, such as Alexander Huber (extreme climber, X), ascend the 60 m rock face behind the waterfall here.

PARAGLIDING in Ellmau

Paragliding is a great way of getting up close to the mountains. You can savour the fresh air and enjoy an uninterrupted view of the imposing nature of the Wilder Kaiser nature reserve. It is mostly a gentle journey over the landscape, although your stomach may lurch a little in tight curves.

Anyone wishing to take up this elegant form of aviation can learn to do so in Ellmau at "Paragleiten/Tandemflüge Schermer" or at the "Paragleiterschule Intersport Winkler". Alternatively, you can simply fly tandem.
